Raj is a man's name!... Apparently.

So I guess I'm doing my article on Mrs. Pillai, I think it'll be boring and no one will read it because I heard no one really likes her. So maybe someone can give me some interesting ideas or a better article to do. We made a mistake on her name and occupation in our first newspaper, but I don't think that's worthy of a full article about her, maybe just a shout-out or an apologetic mentioning of her or something. Ok well that's all I got, help a girl out, go team!

Mad props to Thompson!

With his special talent at playing the guitar and singing "Hit me baby one more time" by Britney Spears. Thompson that was an impressive performance -clapping- I'm impressed on how super cool you are. You're my hero, work those vocals, lol. Definately, something to remember for my senior year. Thank you, I needed a good laugh.

Where's the edit button!

So just so you know my last sentence on the previous blog post should read: His main goal is to make sure everyone enjoys their high school experience, and believes that students who involve themselves in school activities have a better time 'in high school.'
I didn't mean to put 'at school' on the previous post. Okay thanks for your time. Peace!

First Draft

Who is Mr. Yllana, and where did he come from? For three years prior to deciding to come be a part of the Gunderson staff, our current Assistant Principle of Discipline was an administrator of Leadership at Leland High School. Though he did not attend Gunderson for his high school years, he left an impressive mark at Leland High. Mr. Yllana played offensive guard, along with various other positions in football, to bring home the CCS Championship in 1994, his senior year. His original goal was to join the Air Force, but during his college years he was swayed by his teachers and peers toward education. Outside of his major role at Gunderson, Mr. Yllana likes to hit the gym and exercise to prepare for Triathlon's. To relax after an exhausting day, he enjoys playing video games on his Play Station 2, preferably "Madden football," and reading books. He also take a great interest in computer programming. Even though Mr. Yllana is Assistant Principle of Discipline, he wants everyone to know he's a very relaxed guy who is calm and fair in the decisions he makes. His main goal is to make sure everyone enjoys their high school experience, and believes that students who involve themselves in school activities have a better time at school.

Well there's my first draft, tell me what you think. Anything that needs improvement? Any questions? Thanks.

Interview Success!

So I was going to call Mr. Yllana on the phone and crazy enough he showed up just before, in our classroom! That was a little on the creepy side, but the interview went well. Mr. Yllana is a really easy going, nice guy so the interview wasn't awkward or a hassle. It was a success and now I have to work on putting this article together. If I forget anything he told me that he's more than willing to re-tell me his story. I think I got this, though. First interview ever, woo!

All I need Is The Interview

So I turned in my interview questions today and now I'm waiting for Mr. Yllana to respond. Hopefully he'll respond so I can get my interview in tomorrow during class. If not maybe I can just go harass him about it outside of class, lol jk. So this class is pretty cool and I'm excited to see what our first newspaper looks like people, woo! Alright, love peace and chicken grease!

My Email That Wouldn't Send

Hello Mr. Yllana,
This is Desiree Wayne from journalism class. I discussed with you yesterday about setting up an interview with you. I was wondering if you were free on Monday during fourth period. Just to warn you, this interview will be about you and your personal life, but don't be alarmed. We figure the school would like to know a little more about their AP of discipline so I hope you don't mind. Please respond back to me your answer if Monday or another day would work for you and your schedule, thank you for your time.
